About the player
Petar Marković grew up in the Austrian capital, starting out at NSC Mauerwerk before moving to FK Austria Wien's Amateure side in October 2018, where he spent six years. In July 2024 he left for Italy, joining Bologna FC 1909's youth sector on a free transfer. He featured for the Primavera team in the Primavera 1 league and the UEFA Youth League, and scored against Milan in October 2024. That December he was named to Bologna's senior squad, though a first-team competitive debut never came.
Marković returned to Austria in July 2026, signing for Grazer AK on a free transfer until June 2029. He made his senior professional debut in the Bundesliga that same month, coming on as an 87th-minute substitute for Yannick Oberleitner against LASK. By September 2026 he had made four league appearances for the club.
At international level, Marković has represented Austria at youth level. He scored on his way to four caps for the under-18s, with three of those appearances and his goal coming in 2023 friendlies. He has since stepped up to the under-19s, where he has been capped seven times, six of them during Austria's qualifying campaign for the 2025 UEFA European Under-19 Championship. He has not scored for the under-19 side and has yet to be called into the senior national team.
