Plamen Pepelyashev

Plamen Pepelyashev's path to a first-team goalkeeping shirt has run mostly through Ludogorets Razgrad's lower tiers. Born in Burgas, he began at Chernomorets Burgas before moving into the Ludogorets academy system, where he spent three years with the club's third team and another season with the reserves. His senior debut for Ludogorets itself came in 2024, limited to a single league appearance and one Bulgarian Cup match, but that cup run brought his most notable moment to date: after the starting goalkeeper was injured, Pepelyashev was named among the squad for the Bulgarian Cup final against Botev Plovdiv as back-up.

Regular football has come further down the pyramid. A loan to Nesebar in the Second League in the second half of 2024 gave him a settled run, with 20 appearances before he returned to Ludogorets that December. He left as a free agent in January 2025, joining Dobrudzha 1919, where he made three First League appearances. All of his moves through this stretch of his career, whether transfers or loans, have come without a fee changing hands.

His contract at Dobrudzha ran until June 2026, and he has now signed with Dunav Ruse on a free transfer, agreeing terms until June 2028.
