Rochinha

Rochinha's career has taken him from Benfica's academy to a run of clubs across four countries, without a single major trophy to show for it. The closest he came was a runner-up medal in the UEFA Youth League with Benfica's youth side in 2013–14, a season that also brought him caps for Portugal's U17 and U19 sides.

His path from there was rarely settled. After progressing through Benfica B, he spent a loan spell at Bolton Wanderers before moving on to Standard Liège. It was at Boavista, over three seasons, that he found the consistency to establish himself as a regular starter, form that carried him to Vitória de Guimarães and then, in 2022, to Sporting CP.

The Sporting move did not work out as planned. A loan to Al-Markhiya in Qatar was followed by an early exit from the Lisbon club by mutual agreement, without Rochinha ever returning from that loan spell. What followed was a rapid sequence of short stays: a free transfer to Kasımpaşa in Turkey, then a return to Portugal with Famalicão on a three-year deal that itself was cut short.

He arrived at Casa Pia as a free agent, signing a one-year contract with an option for a further season. It is the latest stop in a career built less on a single defining moment than on repeated fresh starts, each one asking him to prove himself again at a new club.
