About the player
Santino Samuyiwa scored five goals in five appearances for Sweden's youth national teams, spread across the U17, U18, U19 and U20 levels.
He grew up in Gothenburg and started out in the youth system at Örgryte IS. From there he moved abroad to the Real Sociedad academy in Spain. He is of Swedish-Nigerian background, and it is Sweden he has represented internationally.
In Spain he was placed with Real Sociedad C, the club's third team, in the Tercera RFEF. He played three matches there and scored twice.
In July 2026 he joined the Norwegian club IK Start from Real Sociedad C on a free transfer. He signed a contract that runs until 30 June 2029.
His start there has been gradual. By September 2026 he had made four Eliteserien appearances without a goal or an assist.
What he brings is a right foot and a centre-forward's instincts.
