Solomon Owusu

Solomon Owusu scored for Fredrikstad in a 1-4 victory over Lillestrøm in the 2025 Norwegian Cup, and the goal came just after a move that ended one of the longer stretches of his career.

Owusu was born in Accra and holds Ghanaian and Norwegian citizenship. His football grew up in Oslo-area clubs. He came through the youth ranks at Romsås and Frigg, then joined Nordstrand, where he played in 2015. In 2016 he moved to Follo. He spent two seasons there and was picked up by Raufoss in March 2018 on a free transfer.

Raufoss was where he stayed longest before Odd. He played there until 19 January 2021, when he signed for Odd as a free agent. He stayed for more than four years, until 1 August 2025.

That day he joined Fredrikstad, again without a transfer fee. His first months there brought the cup goal against Lillestrøm, a club from the top division, in a game his side won by three goals.

Owusu's path is that of a player who moved between clubs on free transfers and did not rely on a fee or a single breakthrough. He moved up through Norway's lower divisions before reaching Odd and then Fredrikstad.
