About the player
Terry Devlin was named Portsmouth's Player of the Season for 2025–26.
He was a professional early. Devlin came through the youth ranks at Dungannon Swifts and signed his first professional contract there in July 2019, aged 15. He made his senior debut that December and stayed until 2022. That August he moved to Glentoran, where he was a regular first-team player for a season.
At Portsmouth he was part of the squad that won the League One title in 2023–24. That campaign ended early for him: a shoulder injury in January 2024 ruled him out for the rest of the season. He was back to sign a new long-term contract in early 2025, which runs until June 2028. Wrexham were linked with him during 2025–26, but he stayed at Fratton Park.
His international career started on 20 March 2025, when he made his senior debut for Northern Ireland in a 1–1 friendly draw with Switzerland. By November 2025 he had won four caps without scoring.
The 2025–26 season ended badly for him. He sustained a hamstring injury in April 2026 in a match against Leicester City. It kept him out of Portsmouth's last three games and of Northern Ireland's friendlies in June 2026.
