Thomas Van den Keybus

Thomas Van den Keybus made his first-team debut for Club Brugge in the 2020–21 season, appearing five times across the league, the Belgian Cup and both European competitions. The move that shaped his career, though, came a year later: in August 2021 Club Brugge sent him on loan to KVC Westerlo, then playing in the Belgian First Division B. He became a regular in Westerlo's midfield, making 27 league appearances and scoring twice as the club won the divisional title and secured promotion to the top flight.

Rather than return to Club Brugge for the promoted side's first season in the Jupiler Pro League, Van den Keybus stayed at Westerlo on a second loan, and again started 29 league matches, adding three goals as the club established itself in the top division. Westerlo made the arrangement permanent in July 2023, signing him for a free transfer.

Since then he has kept his place as a regular starter at Westerlo, featuring consistently through the 2023–24, 2024–25 and 2025–26 seasons. Van den Keybus came through Belgian youth football, having started out at Koninklijk Beerschot Antwerpen before spells with KV Mechelen and then Club Brugge's academy. He has represented Belgium at under-16, under-17 and under-19 level, though a senior call-up has not yet followed. All of his moves between clubs, from the initial loan spells to last year's permanent transfer, have come without a fee changing hands.
