Tim Meyer

Tim Meyer came through Grasshopper Club Zürich's own academy, having arrived by way of FC Lachen/Altendorf and two spells at FC Rapperswil-Jona before returning to GCZ in 2022. He made his first-team debut in July 2023, and 20 Super League appearances in his debut campaign gave way to 29 in 2024/2025, in which he scored one goal and set up another. He has continued at that level in the current season, adding a goal and two assists across 31 matches so far.

His progress was recognised by the club in October, when he was named GCZ Player of the Month, taking 39% of the vote for his midfield displays against Lausanne-Sport and Lugano. Grasshoppers rewarded his development with a new contract in May 2025, tying him to the club until June 2028 as one of its homegrown players.

Meyer has also moved through the Swiss youth international set-up, representing Switzerland at U20 level in 2024 before stepping up to the U21s, where he has featured in Euro U21 qualifiers and friendlies. A right-footed midfielder, he has yet to add a major team honour to his career, with Grasshoppers not having won the league or cup during his time in the first team.
