About the player
Koch came through the youth system at Sturm Graz and signed his first professional contract there in October 2017, making his Bundesliga debut for the club in April 2019. His path to regular football ran through the second tier: a loan spell at SV Lafnitz preceded a free move to Blau-Weiß Linz in June 2021, where he spent three seasons and made 76 league appearances, scoring eight goals. That spell delivered the clearest achievement of his career so far — he was part of the Blau-Weiß Linz squad that won the 2. Liga title in 2021–22 and went up to the Bundesliga.
A free transfer took him to SK Austria Klagenfurt in 2024 on a three-year deal, where he made 27 league appearances and scored once. That stay proved short: in June 2025 he moved on again, this time to Grazer AK, signing until 2027. His first season back at Bundesliga level with Grazer AK brought another 27 league appearances.
Koch went through Austria's youth set-ups from U15 through to U19 but has not featured for the senior national team. Across his career he has scored 11 goals in 164 senior league appearances.
