About the player
Tomáš Hellebrand made his first-team debut as a substitute on 25 May 2025, in a 2–1 win over SK Líšeň. Zlín were promoted from the Czech second tier that season under head coach Bronislav Červenka. Hellebrand had come through the club's own academy, where he played for the U17 and U19 sides from 2022.
The step up to the top flight followed in the autumn. He made his Chance Liga debut against Bohemians 1905 on 8 November 2025. He has since played about a dozen matches for the senior side without scoring.
Most of his goals have come in the third tier with the reserve team, FC Zlín B, whom he joined in April 2025.
He also played for the U19 side in international fixtures. In March 2026 he featured in UEFA U19 Championship qualifying matches against Latvia, Belgium and Denmark.
Football runs in the family. His father, Aleš, was a defender and midfielder who played for Baník Ostrava, SFC Opava, MFK Ružomberok and Petržalka. His older brother Patrik is a professional midfielder who has played for Slovácko, Slavia Prague and Górnik Zabrze. Tomáš has spent his whole career in Zlín, with no loan spells and no transfer fees.
