About the player
Troy Parrott spent five years at Tottenham Hotspur, managing just two senior league appearances before a string of loans took him around English football's lower divisions — Millwall, Ipswich Town, Milton Keynes Dons, Preston North End and finally Excelsior.
The move that changed things came in July 2024, when AZ Alkmaar paid around €8 million to take him permanently to the Netherlands. Parrott scored 30 goals in 59 league appearances for the club.
His international career has followed a similar arc. He added another key goal in the playoff against the Czech Republic the following March, part of a return that stands at 11 goals in 37 caps.
