Yuki Ohashi

Yuki Ohashi scored on his debut for Blackburn Rovers, against Derby County, and by the end of his first season in English football he was the club's top scorer. He made 36 appearances in 2024–25 and finished with nine or ten goals in all competitions. The move came on 31 July 2024 from Sanfrecce Hiroshima, on a three-year contract with an option for a fourth.

The route to the Championship was not a fast one. Ohashi came through youth teams in Chiba Prefecture, including the JEF United Chiba under-15 side, then attended Yachiyo High School and played for Chuo University. He graduated in 2018 and went straight from university to Shonan Bellmare in the J1 League. Over five seasons there he made 90 league appearances and scored 20 goals.

That season came at Sanfrecce Hiroshima, where he arrived in January 2024. In 22 league appearances he scored 11 goals. Blackburn signed him that summer for an undisclosed fee.

His international career began soon after. Ohashi made his senior debut for Japan on 15 November 2024 in a 4–0 win over Indonesia in 2026 World Cup qualifying, coming on in the 80th minute. His second cap came on 5 June 2025, when he started in a 1–0 defeat by Australia in the same campaign. He has not yet scored for the national team.

At Blackburn he plays as a centre-forward.
