Zlatko Tripić

Zlatko Tripić set the Eliteserien record for assists in a season with 19 in 2026, passing the 18 recorded by Philip Zinckernagel. A year earlier he became the first player in the league's history to reach ten or more goals and ten or more assists in three consecutive seasons.

Those numbers came at Viking, a club he has joined twice. He arrived in 2018 on a free transfer after Sheriff Tiraspol ended his contract, and Viking won the 1. Divisjon that year. In 2019 the club won the Norwegian Cup. He left in 2020 for Göztepe in Turkey, and in 2021 he returned on another free transfer, again after his contract was terminated.

His route to that point was crowded. He started at Egersund IK in 2011 and moved to Molde, where he won the Eliteserien in 2011 and 2012 and the Cup in 2013. In 2012 he spent time on loan at Fredrikstad, in a swap deal that involved Etzaz Hussain. Spells at IK Start and Greuther Fürth followed, and in 2017 he moved to Sheriff Tiraspol, winning the Moldovan Super Liga in his first season there.

The later years at Viking brought the individual recognition. He was named Eliteserien Player of the Year in 2024 and was in the Team of the Year in both 2024 and 2025. He also took Player of the Month awards in July 2023 and May 2026. In 2025 Viking won the league, the club's first championship in 34 years.
