In the summer of 1996, TJ Vagonka Česká Lípa found itself in the second tier of Czech football, and stayed there three seasons running.

The name changed along the way. Founded in 1927, the club played for decades as ČsSK and then as TJ Vagonka before adopting the Arsenal Česká Lípa name in 2008. Promotion in 2008/09 out of the fourth-tier Divize B, won with 23 wins from 30 games, put it back into the ČFL, and a regional title in Liberec in 2003/04, then, in the 2025/26 season, first place in the ČFL group B — enough to send Arsenal into the Chance Národní Liga, the country's second division.

The current squad carries at least one recognisable surname.
