Bílovec

Six years earlier, in 2015/16, they had won the I. A třída of the Moravian-Silesian Region, Group A, and that season took them up to the regional Přebor.

The team is old for a town of this size. SK Bílovec was the first football club in the town, formed in 1928. Its activity stopped during the German occupation, and it was re-established after 1945. The organisation that runs the club today, Školní sportovní klub Bílovec (School Sports Club Bílovec), was registered only on 18 April 2003, but it carries on the earlier club's history.

Bílovec wear yellow and blue. Their home ground, the Sportovní areál on Ostravská street, holds up to 1,500 spectators. The town's name means "White Place", and that has led some to assume the colours are white and black, which they are not. The football side has no nickname of its own. "Bílí" belongs to the local floorball club.

The fixture that matters most is against FK Nový Jičín, known as the "okresní derby" (district derby). SK Beskyd Frenštát pod Radhoštěm are another rival. In 2016 the player Peter Šloff was named Sportsman of the Year for the Nový Jičín district, the same year the club won promotion.
