Cedar Stars Rush

Juan Santamaria holds two jobs at Cedar Stars Rush: head coach and sporting director. The club's owner, George Altirs, holds two of his own, majority owner and president. Between them they run a side.

That organisation is the Cedar Stars Academy, which Altirs founded and which works in partnership with Rush Soccer, itself established in 1997. The senior team was announced on September 19, 2018 as a new member of the USL Premier Development League, now USL League Two, and played its first season in 2019.

Its best year so far was 2021. The team finished second in the Metropolitan Conference with an 8-3-3 record and reached the playoffs, where Western Mass Pioneers beat them 4-0 in the quarterfinals. The same season, midfielder Zemedkun Rodriguez was named USL League Two Young Player of the Year.

The conference gives them a regular set of opponents. New Jersey Copa FC is the nearest thing to a rival, though the fixture has no name of its own, and FC Motown and Morris Elite SC turn up in the schedule year after year. Home games are played at Fairleigh Dickinson University Field in Teaneck, which holds 2,000. Lime green shirts with black stripes are the home kit.

No league title or cup has come to the club.
