Chabab Atlas Khénifra

In December 2024, the fixture between Chabab Atlas Khénifra and Kawkab Marrakech ended in violent incidents involving fans. The Moroccan press has since given the pairing its own name, the "Derby Khénifra-Kawkab".

Khénifra is a town in the Middle Atlas, and its club takes its nickname from the Zayane, the Berber tribe of the area: Les Zayanes. The red-and-white side began in 1943 as Union Sportive de Khénifra and later took its present name. Its ground, the Stade Municipal, seats 5,000.

The men's team has spent most of its history below the top flight. In 2015–16 it won the Botola Pro 2, the second division, and went up. The season before, under Hassan Oughni, it had reached the semi-finals of the Coupe du Trône, the Throne Cup. It reached the quarter-finals again in 2019–20.

The women's section, founded in 1998, has won more. It finished as national runner-up seven times, in 2002, 2003, 2005, 2008, 2011, 2012 and 2014. Two of those finals fell in the years the team won the Coupe du Trône, 2010–11 and 2011–12, and the second was settled on penalties against Club Municipal de Laâyoune.

The men's side is now led by Khalid Fouhami, who took over in 2023 and kept goal for the Morocco national team as a player.
