Amal Tiznit

Olympique Dcheira has become the name Tiznit measures itself against, a rivalry sharpened in cup ties and, this year, in a play-off that decided who would leave the second division. The two sides met in the Round of 16 of the Coupe du Trône in 2023-24, and in July 2026 they met again with promotion to the Botola Pro at stake; Amal Tiznit drew 1-1 and went through. Local shorthand sometimes borrows the label "Derby du Souss" for that fixture, though the term properly belongs to Hassania Agadir's meetings with Dcheira further along the coast.

Tiznit's own rise has been slower and less noticed. US Amal Tiznit has stood as the oldest club in the south of Morocco since 1948, most of that time spent shuttling between the amateur ranks and the third tier, watched by crowds at the 4,000-capacity Stade El Massira. The 2024-25 season took the club into Botola Pro 2 alongside Widad Sportif de Témara. What followed did not stop there: in July 2026, Amal Tiznit went up again, into the Botola Pro, the first time in its history the club has reached Morocco's top flight.

No player from Tiznit has gone on to national recognition, and the club has built its story on longevity rather than names. Green and white remain its traditional colours, even as a blue kit has appeared in the most recent campaign.

Two promotions inside three seasons carried the club from the amateur leagues to the top division.
