CODM Meknès

Hamadi Hamidouch left the pitch at CODM and did not go far: two years as an attacker between 1964 and 1966, then back from 1976 to run the bench until 1988. He won the Throne Cup as a player in 1966 and later took three Botola titles elsewhere, at FAR Rabat, but it is the Meknès years the federation singled him out for.

The club itself was stitched together on 21 June 1962 out of two local sides, Rachad Meknès and ASTF, brought in to fill the gap left when Meknès's dominant club of the time, USDM, folded. Les Codémiens took over as the city's standard-bearer, and it took them until the 1994–95 season to win the Botola Pro outright, a title that sent them into the following year's African Cup of Champions Clubs, where they reached the quarter-finals.

They have never gone back. Runners-up in the league in 1981, a Throne Cup won in 1966 and lost twice since, in 1981 and 2011. Relegation in 2013 put them out of the top flight for eleven years, a stretch that took them as low as the amateur level in 2016 before they worked their way back up through Botola Pro 2, which they have now won three separate times, in 1975, 2011 and 2024. The last of those got them back to the Botola.

Against Maghreb de Fès, the Derby du Saïss still draws the city out. Twenty thousand seats at the Stade d'Honneur.
