UTS Rabat

UTS Rabat sit in Botola Pro 2, still chasing the top flight after finishing runners-up in 2021-22, a result that came close but left the promotion door shut. The Moroccan Excellence Cup run of 2024-25 ended the same way, a final lost, and that pattern of arriving but not quite crossing the line has followed the club through most of the last two decades.

The club grew out of a merger of seven local sides in Rabat's Touarga district, brought together in 1971 under the patronage of King Hassan II. Promotion into the second tier came twice in the years that followed, in 1979-80 and again in 1985-86, and a third-tier title in 2019-20 added to that record of building up rather than winning outright.

Stade Prince Moulay El Hassan now holds 22,000 after a renovation completed in 2025 pushed capacity up from 15,000, giving the yellow and black — "les Jaune et Noir" to their own supporters — a rebuilt home to show for a season that otherwise still points toward the first division. Matches against AS FAR and FUS Rabat carry the weight of a shared city, and the Rabat derby remains the fixture that matters most regardless of where UTS sit in the table.

The Mohammed VI Football Academy has fed players through the club on their way elsewhere; Tawfik Bentayeb, Adam Baallal and Mouad Dahak all passed through UTS before moving on to bigger stages, a role the club has settled into as much as any trophy in its cabinet. For now the target stays the same one that has eluded them since 2004 and again in 2022: a return to Botola Pro 1.
