The team has played there since 1926: six Fourth League titles between 1972 and 2003, then the Republic League in 2004, then the Second League twice.
The climb ended in 2024, when Dečić won the First League of Montenegro. A year later they took the Montenegrin Cup — after losing the final in 2021 and 2022.
They had signalled something four years earlier. The 2020–21 season opened with a 2:0 win over Budućnost, the reigning champions, and remains the best start the club has made.
Tuško Polje, the home ground, holds 1,001. Plans to extend the west stand would take it to 3,000. It is also known as Arena Besa.
In April 2025 the club replaced its crest and swapped the historic blue and white for red and black. Supporters protested. The nickname that came with the change, Kuqezinjtë, means the red-and-blacks.
