Dugo Selo

The county cup has come back to Dugo Selo twice in the past three years, in 2023 and again in 2025, after a first success in that competition in 2002. Further back, in 1958, the town's side took the Kup Narodnog športa.

NK Dugo Selo has carried the name DŠK since 1923, playing in white and black, and its record includes two promotions inside a single stretch of the 1990s: out of the Zagreb League in 1992/93, then straight through the fourth tier the following season. The bigger name on the honours list, though, belongs to a cup night rather than a league table. In the 1998/99 Croatian Cup, Dugo Selo met Croatia Zagreb — the club now known as Dinamo Zagreb — in the round of 16 and won 3-2.

The club's academy has sent players the other way down that same road: Dorian Klarin and Teuta Nuši both moved on to Dinamo's youth ranks. Igor Bišćan came back for a friendly in 2023, a reminder of how far a Dugo Selo start can lead. Locally, the fixture that matters most is against Vrbovec, billed as the Derbi dvaju gradova , the derby of two towns, with Kustošija of Zagreb another regular opponent.
