Zagora

Zagora's biggest games now come against NK Neretva from Metković, a fixture the local press has started calling the "Derbi vrha ljestvice" — the top-of-the-table derby — as the two clubs have traded places at the summit of the 3. NL Jug in recent seasons.

The village side has worn several names since it was founded in 1948 as Zadrugar, passing through 9. maj and Razvitak before settling on Zagora in 1996. Supporters still call the team Crveni, the Reds, after the colour that dominates the kit alongside white.

Nothing in that long, quiet history matches the 2008/09 season, when Zagora went on a Croatian Cup run that took them past top-flight Osijek and second-division Karlovac before Dinamo Zagreb stopped them in the quarter-final. Ivica Šupe, a postman who played for the club, scored twice in that last match against Dinamo. Mile Čveljo, who died in 2017, was part of that same run and is remembered as one of the club's own. Zagora later had a Croatian international on its books too: Drago Gabrić, who had won five caps and played for Hajduk Split, Trabzonspor and Rijeka, joined in 2019.

Domestically the honours sit mostly at county level — the Šibenik-Knin County Cup has been won more than a dozen times — but the club has twice been crowned champion of the 3. NL Jug, in 2022/23 and again in 2025/26, the second title arriving in the same season the derby with Neretva sharpened into the club's defining fixture.
