The senior side that carried the name to eleven Czechoslovak league titles and eight domestic cups, built as the football arm of the Czechoslovak People's Army, folded in 1996 after merging with FC Portál Příbram. What exists now was re-established two years later, in 1998, as a civil association, absorbing the youth setup of FK Dukla Dejvice in 2001. The reserve side, Dukla Praha II, grew out of that rebuilt structure rather than the old one.

It plays in Group A of the Czech Third Football League, the country's third tier, where an 11th-place finish in 2023/24 gave way to sixth the following season. Home games are staged at Stadion Juliska, though the team has also turned out at Stadion FK Zbuzany. The red and yellow shirts and the "Vojáci" nickname carry over from the old army club.

When this side meets Sparta, Slavia or Bohemians 1905 in what is known locally as the Malé pražské derby, it does so under a name with a considerable past and, for now, a reserve-team record with nothing in it.
