Eltersdorf

Eltersdorf sits inside Erlangen, and the club's main rival is the city's other side, ATSV Erlangen. Matches between them are billed as the Erlanger Stadtderby. The rivalry is oddly mirrored: Eltersdorf began in 1926 as ATSV Eltersdorf, an Arbeiter-Turn- und Sportverein , a workers' gymnastics and sports association.

The Nazis banned that association in the 1930s. It was re-established on 3 March 1946 as Sportklub Eltersdorf, and the club kept 1926 as its founding year rather than starting the count again.

The nickname, Die Quecken , comes from the Franconian dialect word for couch grass. It won the Bezirksliga Mittelfranken-Nord in 1999 and the Bezirksoberliga two years later, then the Landesliga Bayern-Mitte in 2011.

They finished third in the Bayernliga and went up directly to the Regionalliga Bayern for 2012–13. The Mittelfranken Cup had come in 2009.

Geremi Perera, who plays for Sri Lanka, is the exception. Bernd Eigner, the head coach, was a professional player elsewhere.
