Feulen

Niederfeulen sits small on the map of Luxembourg's football pyramid, and for years that was fine: US Feulen, known locally as d'US Feelen, spent long stretches in the lower divisions without much fuss. The club came into being in 1947, and its history since has been one of patience rather than trophies.

That patience paid off in stages. A return to the third tier, the 1. Division, arrived in 2019, and the club held its ground there until the spring of 2024, when a playoff against Yellow Boys Weiler-la-Tour decided the next step. Feulen won it 3–0 on 1 June 2024 at the Streetwheels Arena in Berbourg, a result that sent the club up to the Ehrenpromotion for the first time.

The cup has occasionally let Feulen punch above its level. In the 2023/24 season the club reached the quarter-finals of the Coupe FLF before losing 2–3 to FC Jeunesse Schieren, and once promoted, it went further still, reaching the last eight of the main Coupe de Luxembourg in 2025/26 before Victoria Rosport ended the run.

None of this has come with a rivalry attached. Matches against neighbours such as AS Wincrange happen when the fixture list throws them together, not because either side treats them as a derby with any history behind it. Home games are played in front of a ground that holds 1,500, in red and black, in a village where a promotion earned through a playoff still counts as the headline of the decade.
