Jeunesse Junglinster

On penalties against FC Wiltz 71 at the end of the 2021–22 season, Jeunesse Junglinster's men lost the one thing the club had waited since 1935 to hold: a place in Luxembourg's National Division. They had got there for the first time that year, finished 13th, and gone straight back down through the relegation playoff. A generation earlier, in 1995, the same door had shut on them after a playoff defeat to Tricolore Gasperich — so the 2021–22 campaign was less a breakthrough sustained than a debut cut short.

It is the women who have given FCJJ's black-and-white shirts their real weight. Between 2010 and 2015 they won the Luxembourg Women's Championship four times, and they added the domestic cup six times between 2010 and 2018, making Junglinster the dominant force in the women's game. Charlie Jorge and Jessica Becker went on from that side into Luxembourg's national team.

There is no fixture in Junglinster that carries the charge of a derby, only the short trip across the canton to FC Schengen — a neighbour rather than an enemy, and the nearest thing the club has to a rival.
