Gyori ETO FC

ETO Park stands on the bank of the Rába in Győr, holding 15,600 people, most of them seated and the rest on open terracing. The ground went by the name Rába ETO Stadion for years before the club settled on the shorter one it carries today.

Győri ETO grew out of the city's wagon factory, taking the field in 1904 as Győri Vagongyár ETO. The players still wear green and white, and around Győr the club is known simply as ETO, though older supporters along the river still call it Rábapartiak.

The first league title came in 1963, and by the following season ETO had reached the semi-final of the European Cup, losing there to Benfica. Three Hungarian Cups followed in a row, from 1965 to 1967, and two more championships arrived back to back in 1982 and 1983.

UEFA barred the club from European competition for three seasons in 2011 over licensing breaches. A fourth title came in 2013, but two years later the collapse of sponsor Quaestor left the club roughly 200 million forints in debt, cost it its licence, and sent it straight down to the third division. ETO won its way out of NB III in 2017, returned to the top flight in 2024, and took a fifth championship in 2026.

There is no single fixed derby. Ferencváros and Budapest Honvéd were the rivals ETO chased titles against through the 1980s, Szombathelyi Haladás and Zalaegerszeg supply the regional edge, and in recent seasons the sharper contests have run against Debrecen and Videoton.
