IFK Varnamo

Värnamo go into the new Superettan campaign only a year removed from Allsvenskan, and they finished bottom of the top flight in 2025 after three seasons among Sweden's elite, the first of any kind in the club's history. Getting there took a while. A first Division 1 Södra title in 2010 brought Superettan back after a 41-year absence, and for eight seasons Värnamo made an annual habit of fighting relegation play-offs — until 2018, when a defeat to Syrianska FC ended the run. Two years later a second Division 1 Södra title reopened the door, and in 2021 the club won Superettan outright and went up to Allsvenskan for the first time. Fifth place in 2023 was the high point of the stay.

Locals call it Talangfabriken, the talent factory, and its best-known graduate is Jonas Thern, who captained Sweden to third place at the 1994 World Cup and later came back as manager to lead the 2010 promotion; his son Simon rejoined the club in 2023.

Home games are played at Finnvedsvallen, also known as Kamratgården, which holds 5,000. The nickname Kamraterna — Comrades — is a detail worth noting on its own: Värnamo is the only club left in the IFK family that still uses it.
