Lipno Stęszew

Arkadiusz Kaliszan arrived at Stęszew with a Polish Championship medal from Polonia Warszawa in 2000 and an Ekstraklasa playing career behind him. Under him, Lipno won V Liga Wielkopolska in 2021/2022 to reach IV Liga Wielkopolska for the first time, then went one step further, taking the IV Liga title in 2024/2025 and moving up to III Liga Group II for 2025/2026.

The club had not always been just a football side. It grew out of the Sokół gymnastics movement, active in the area from 1895, and was formally established in 1926 under its first president, Teofil Zeuschner. A field hockey section later reached the Ekstraklasa, and a women's football team has also worked its way up to II Liga.

Promotion in 2021/2022 coincided with the retirement of Maciej Scherfchen, who had played five seasons for the club after representing Poland at senior level. Wojciech Kryger, son of former international Waldemar Kryger, has also worn the white and blue.

Around 1,000 spectators fit into the Stadion Miejski w Stęszewie, 200 of them seated, and the ground will host a club celebrating its hundredth year in 2026 while facing Unia Swarzędz, Polonia Środa Wielkopolska and Kotwica Kórnik in the new season.

None of it happened without Kaliszan on the touchline.
