Bandung sits in the highlands of West Java.

Since 2016 the home ground has been Gelora Bandung Lautan Api . They then spent four years, from 2018 to 2022, away from the new stadium before returning.

The trophy that says most about the club is the most recent one.

For a spell in 2017 the squad drew attention well beyond West Java, when Michael Essien and Carlton Cole both signed.

The club is owned by PT Persib Bandung Bermartabat, with Glenn Timothy Sugita as president.

The name Persib itself dates only to 1933, when a merger produced it. In December 2023 the club formally moved its founding date back to that year, and took 1933 off the badge.
