Pogoń Szczecin II

The closest thing to a crowning moment for Szczecin's reserve side came in 2010–11, when it topped the fifth-tier V Liga Szczecin and earned promotion out of regional football. Cup silverware has come more often in West Pomeranian regional competitions: the team lifted the trophy in 2000–01 and again in 2021–22 and 2022–23, with an earlier regional win in 1994–95. None of it carries the weight of a top-flight title, but for a team whose job is to feed players upward rather than chase championships, those runs mattered enough to be remembered.

The side traces its identity back to Pogoń Szczecin, formed in 1948, though the reserve team itself has been rebuilt more than once — including a spell when supporters kept a version of it running before the club re-established it in 2007. It now plays in Group 2 of the III Liga, the fourth tier, at the Stadion Miejski im. Floriana Krygiera. The nickname Portowcy — the Dockers — belongs to the whole club and nods to Szczecin's identity as a port city.

Adam Frączczak, who once captained Pogoń's first team, wound down his career playing for the reserves rather than walking away outright. More recently, forward Kamil Jakubczyk passed through the under-19s and the second team before moving on, one of several young players the club has pushed through this route in recent seasons.

Local needle comes from Świt Szczecin, the closest thing to a genuine rival at this level, while matches against Kotwica Kołobrzeg, Flota Świnoujście and Bałtyk Gdynia are grouped together under the wider label of the West Pomeranian derby.
