Ramsgate go into this season in the Isthmian League South East Division.
The name predates the club by only a matter of months: a first Ramsgate side had folded in 1924, and when football returned to the town in 1945 it took the name Ramsgate Athletic and the old Southwood Stadium site, becoming plain Ramsgate F.C. in 1972.
For decades the club's business was Kent League and Kent Senior Cup football. The one run that outgrew all of it came in 2023–24: a Second Round FA Cup tie, the furthest Ramsgate had gone since reaching the First Round Proper in 1955–56, Woking beaten 2–1 before AFC Wimbledon ended it.
