Renaissance Berkane

Renaissance Sportive de Berkane grew out of an association founded on 21 May 1938, and passed through several names and mergers before settling into its current form in 1971, when Union Sportive de Berkane joined with Chabab Riadhi de Berkane.

For most of that history the club's ambitions ran no further than the domestic league. That changed in the 2019–20 season, when RS Berkane beat Egypt's Pyramids FC to win the CAF Confederation Cup, the first continental title in the club's history. It was not a one-off: Orlando Pirates fell to them in the 2021–22 final, and Simba S.C. in 2024–25, making Berkane three-time winners of the competition.

What had eluded the club for all that time was the Botola Pro itself. That gap closed in the 2024–25 season, when RS Berkane were crowned Moroccan champions for the first time.

The Orange Boys, as they are known for their kit colours, carry their fiercest rivalry into derbies with Mouloudia Oujda, the Derby of the Oriental giving the region its own contest independent of the Casablanca–Rabat axis.
