Slavia Iii

Promotion has come three times for Slavia's third team — 1996/97, 2021/22 and 2023/24 all ended with the Group A title. The two more recent titles did, sending the team into the Chance Národní Liga, the second tier, where it has yet to add a trophy of its own.

The side exists inside SK Slavia Prague's structure rather than as a club in its own right, which is why its history runs back only as far as the parent side allows: Slavia itself was founded on 2 November 1892, first as a cycling section before football took over. The nicknames — Červenobílí, the Red-and-Whites, and Sešívaní, a reference to the diagonal seam across the shirt — belong to Slavia as a whole, and the third team carries them without a name of its own.

Matches are played at Stadion Na Chvalech in Horní Počernice, a ground that holds around 3,400. When the reserve sides of Slavia and Sparta meet, the fixture is known locally as the Derby rezerv, a smaller echo of the Prague Derby played out between the senior clubs.

Vladimír Šmicer passed through the club's youth and reserve ranks — a reminder that the third team's real business has rarely been the third division table, but the players it sends further up.
