CAN Men's T20 National Games (Nepal) 2022/23

The CAN Men's T20 National Games is a domestic cricket competition in Nepal, organized by the Cricket Association of Nepal. The event brings together provincial and departmental sides to contest for the national T20 title. The participating teams include Tribhuwan Army Club, Armed Police Force Club, Nepal Police Club, and provincial representative teams such as Karnali Province, Lumbini Province, and Bagmati Province.

The structure of the tournament typically involves a group stage followed by knockout matches. Teams are divided into pools, playing round-robin fixtures before the top sides advance to semi-finals and the final. In the 2024 edition, Bagmati Province faced Lumbini Province in the championship decider. Earlier, in 2023, Madhesh Province claimed the inaugural title of the competition, which was also branded under different sponsorship names like the Arjun Trophy National T20 Championship.

This competition serves as the premier domestic T20 championship for the country, distinct from the multi-sport Nepal National Games, where cricket events have been held separately. It also differs from the Nepal Premier League, which is a franchise-based commercial venture launched in 2024. Before the current format was established in 2023, the Prime Minister Cup was the leading domestic tournament, though it focused on One-Day matches rather than the twenty-over format.

The Cricket Association of Nepal, formerly known as the Nepal Cricket Association, manages the schedule and regulations. The inclusion of departmental clubs alongside provincial teams reflects the traditional structure of Nepalese domestic cricket. The competition aims to identify the best talent and provide a pathway for players to represent the national side. Recent results show Bagmati Province and Lumbini Province as strong contenders, with matches often decided by narrow margins or significant run totals.
