India A in Bangladesh 2022/23

The India A in Bangladesh fixture is a recurring bilateral series rather than a permanent league or cup. Organised jointly by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB), it sits outside the official ICC Future Tours Programme for senior teams. Matches are designated as unofficial Tests, ODIs, or T20s and carry no official international status. They do not count towards ICC rankings, distinguishing the series from the senior Ganguly–Durjoy Trophy which holds official standing.

The primary purpose is player development, serving as a bridge between domestic cricket and the senior national teams. The teams are selected ad-hoc by their respective national selection committees, with no strict age limits. This allows the inclusion of senior players seeking match fitness alongside emerging talents. Previous encounters include the 2015 tour in India and matches in multi-team tournaments like the ACC Emerging Teams Asia Cup.

The 2022 series in Bangladesh consisted of two unofficial four-day Test matches. The first match at Sheikh Kamal International Cricket Stadium, Cox's Bazar, ended in a draw after weather interruptions. The second match at Sylhet International Cricket Stadium saw India A win by an innings and 123 runs. Notable performances include Saurabh Kumar's nine-wicket haul in the 2022 series and Zakir Hasan's century for Bangladesh A.

India A has historically dominated these encounters, winning the 2015 tour in India and the 2022 tour. The 'A' team series has no named trophy and is scheduled flexibly for training purposes.
