About

The Indian Street Premier League (ISPL) is a T10 cricket competition founded in 2024 by CCS Sports LLP. Operating independently of the official BCCI domestic pyramid, the league features six franchise teams representing major Indian cities. The current squad includes the Ahmedabad Lions, Bangalore Strikers, Chennai Singams, Delhi Superheros, Falcon Risers Hyderabad, and Majhi Mumbai. Matches are played with tennis or tape balls, distinguishing the event from traditional professional cricket. The competition structure consists of a round-robin group stage followed by playoffs, comprising a Qualifier, Eliminator, and Final. Unique rules define the gameplay, such as the '9 Street Runs' provision for shots landing in the crowd and a '50-50 Over' designed for strategic scoring. The toss format also differs, with captains walking toward each other rather than flipping a coin. Majhi Mumbai entered the 2025 season as the defending champion after defeating Srinagar Ke Veer in the 2024 final. The tournament has no promotion or relegation system. In the 2025 edition, Abhishek Kumar Dalhor of Majhi Mumbai emerged as the leading wicket-taker with 24 dismissals. The league focuses on grassroots talent and employs non-standard rules to enhance entertainment value, setting it apart from the established Indian Premier League. The official website hosts further details on the competition.

The ISPL was established to provide a platform for street-level cricketers. While the inaugural season saw Tiigers of Kolkata win the title, the 2025 edition saw Majhi Mumbai claim victory. The league's independent status allows it to experiment with formats that prioritize accessibility and fan engagement over strict adherence to international standards.
