KPT National T20 Cricket Tournament (Nepal) 2023/24

The **Koshi Province Trophy** serves as a premier domestic Twenty20 cricket competition in Nepal, organized by the Cricket Association of Nepal. Inaugurated for the 2023/24 season, the tournament concluded its first edition in March 2024, establishing itself alongside other formats such as the One-Day Prime Minister's Cup.

The field consists of a fixed pool of teams drawn from Nepal’s seven provincial sides and three departmental clubs. Participants include the Tribhuwan Army Club, Armed Police Force Club, Nepal Police Club, Karnali Province, Lumbini Province, and Bagmati Province. Participation relies on provincial and departmental representation rather than a system of promotion or relegation from lower tiers.

Matches follow a structured path beginning with a group stage, where teams are divided into two groups. The top performers advance to knockout semifinals and a final to determine the champion. In the inaugural 2023/24 edition of the KPT, the Tribhuwan Army Club secured victory by defeating Karnali Province in the final match.

This tournament operates distinctly from other national competitions, including the Arjun Trophy National T20 Championship and the KP Oli Cup, each with their own inception dates and organizational structures. While other entities hold titles in different formats, the KPT provides a specific platform for these selected teams to compete in the Twenty20 format under the national governing body’s auspices.
