Prime Minister Cup Women's National Cricket Tournament stands as the premier domestic Twenty20 competition for female cricketers in Nepal. Organised by the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN), it represents the highest level of the national pyramid, with participation determined by provincial and departmental selection rather than a formal promotion or relegation structure.

The tournament operates on a format that combines group stages with knockout rounds. Recent editions have seen teams divided into groups, with the leading sides advancing to a "Super Four" stage before contesting the final. This structure replaced earlier iterations based on development regions following shifts in the nation’s constitutional framework, now featuring teams from various provinces alongside departmental clubs.

Armed Police Force Club holds the record for success in the competition, claiming seven titles. Current holders, they secured their latest victory in the 2024–25 season by defeating Sudurpashchim Province. While other provincial sides such as Lumbini, Gandaki, and Bagmati compete regularly, the departmental team’s dominance marks a distinct feature of the tournament’s history.

Unlike the men’s equivalent, which began later and traditionally featured One-Day formats, this women’s competition is exclusively played under Twenty20 rules. The sport continues to grow within the country, providing a central platform for female athletes to showcase their abilities at the domestic level.
