The T20 Spring Challenge is a domestic women's Twenty20 cricket competition in Australia. Founded by Cricket Australia for the 2024–25 season, it functions as a secondary, preparatory tournament within the national cricket pyramid. The event is held in October, situated between the first leg of the 50-over Women's National Cricket League (WNCL) and the start of the Women's Big Bash League (WBBL).
The competition was introduced to compensate for a reduction in matches in the WBBL, which was shortened from 14 to 10 games per club. It features nine teams: the eight WBBL franchises and the ACT Meteors. The format consists of a round-robin group stage where each team plays four matches, followed by semi-finals and a final for the top four teams. There is no promotion or relegation, and team participation is fixed. The Hobart Hurricanes Women are the current holders, having won the inaugural 2024–25 edition and the 2025–26 edition, defeating the Brisbane Heat Women in both finals.
The tournament serves to maintain the volume of domestic games and provide match practice for emerging players. It is distinct from the WBBL in its shorter duration, specific timing, and role as a development platform. Notably, the 2024–25 season saw the call-up of 13-year-old Mia Barwick by the Hobart Hurricanes. The competition is not a top-tier league but aims to support player development. It has not undergone any name changes since its inception.
