Rudar took all three points at home to Lovćen with a 4-2 win in the second division regular season opener on Wednesday. The result keeps the visitors in fifth place while Lovćen remain eighth after six rounds of matches.
Lovćen struck first through A. Vlahović in the eighteenth minute and looked comfortable. Then came the shift. G. Souza levelled before the break and added his second on thirty-eight minutes, and here's the thing — you could see the momentum turning before the penalty miss.
J. Montenegro had a spot-kick in the forty-ninth minute and couldn't convert. By then Rudar had already taken control. G. Guimaresa made sure of it with two quick goals in the seventy-first and seventy-fourth minutes, and the match was effectively over.
L. Dordević pulled one back in the seventy-seventh minute, but it was too little, too late. Rudar's attack was clinical when it mattered, and Lovćen's missed opportunity in the first half proved costly.
Rudar move up in the table with eight points from six games, while Lovćen stay on seven with two wins, one draw and three defeats. The visitors have now played three matches without losing at home this season, while Lovćen's home form continues to worry.
