About the player
Hércules arrived at Fluminense in December 2024 for around R$ 29 million. He had joined Fortaleza on loan in May 2021 and made his first-team debut for the club in February 2022, going on to make 136 appearances and score 19 goals, winning the Copa do Nordeste in 2022 and 2024 and the Campeonato Cearense in 2022 and 2023. In July 2023 he suffered a serious injury that interrupted his progress, though he returned to form the following year.
His path started further from the spotlight, at Tiradentes-CE, where he made his senior debut in June 2019 in the Campeonato Cearense Segunda Divisão. A loan to Crato followed in 2020, where he made ten appearances and helped the side to promotion, before a spell at Atlético Cearense turned him into a regular starter by 2021.
At Fluminense, Hércules has made 106 appearances and scored nine goals. He drew particular attention during the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup, scoring important goals against Inter Milan and Al Hilal and finishing as the team's top scorer in the competition. He has not yet earned a senior call-up to the Brazil national team.
