H. Barrera

Jordan Barrera came up through Atlético Junior's academy, which he joined in 2016, and by the time he made his senior debut for the club in 2023 he had already gone through the Atlántico Department youth setup. A loan to Barranquilla FC followed that year, and across the 2023 and 2024 seasons in Colombia's second division he built up regular minutes, making 29 appearances and scoring twice. Back at Atlético Junior for 2025, he added a goal and an assist in 14 league appearances and won the Colombian league title with the club before Botafogo signed him in July, agreeing a four-year contract. His clearest calling card is the run he had with Colombia's youth sides. Barrera had already earned caps at U17 level before becoming a fixture for the U20s, with 17 appearances and three goals, and he was a key player in the 2025 FIFA U-20 World Cup, playing 90 minutes in the group stage against Norway and Saudi Arabia and setting up a goal in the latter game. A muscle injury in the semi-final against Argentina cut his tournament short, but his performances were enough for the Spanish newspaper Marca to name him among the 20 standout players of the competition. He also played at the 2025 CONMEBOL U-20 Championship, and in May 2026 he earned his first call-up to the senior Colombia national team.

At Botafogo, an attacking midfielder wearing the number 14, he has already added the Taça Rio to his list of honours.
