Flint Tønsberg Women

Flint Tønsberg finished third in the 1. divisjon in 2023/24 and lost the play-off to Romerike, dropped to eighth the year after, then went up as champions of the 2025/26 second-tier campaign. The one previous spell in the Eliteserien brought a seventh-place finish, in 2011/12, and the cup run has never gone past the quarter-finals, reached in 2019.

The women's side operates as its own alliance club within IL Flint, a status it took on in April 2011, though the shirts have stayed the same: white and black at home, red and black away, at the REMA 1000 Arena in the Tolvsrød district.

Emily Stang Sando kept goal there between 2010 and 2013 before going on to the national team. Mia Vik Gabrielsen made her top-flight debut for the club at sixteen, in 2020. On the bench, Khaled Chentout took over in April 2025 after a short, unsettled spell that had seen two coaches come and go within a year. Eik-Tønsberg and Runar IL give the city its other handball clubs, without either side building into a fixed rivalry with Flint's women.

IL Flint itself goes back to April 1917, a multi-sports club in Tønsberg that the handball section grew out of nearly a century before it struck out on its own.
