Guyana Amazon Warriors Women

The Amazon Warriors Women head into the Women's Caribbean Premier League still chasing a first title. In 2023 they reached the final and lost to Barbados Royals Women by eight runs; in 2025 the same opponent beat them again, this time by three wickets.

Franchise cricket in Guyana only began in 2022, when the women's team took the field for the first time that August in The 6IXTY competition before the WCPL itself got under way later that year. The team shares its green, red and yellow colours, its ownership under Dr Ranjisinghi "Bobby" Ramroop, and its Providence Stadium home with the men's Amazon Warriors.

Stafanie Taylor captains the side. It has made the team competitive from the start, even if the biggest prize keeps going to Barbados.

The rivalry that matters most on the field is with Trinbago Knight Riders Women, though neither carries a name of its own the way some derbies do. For now, the Amazon Warriors' story is written in finals reached rather than trophies held, and the next WCPL is the chance to change which of those columns fills first.
