Barbados Royals Women

Back-to-back titles are not common in the Women's Caribbean Premier League, but the Barbados Royals Women have managed it twice over. In 2023 they beat the Guyana Amazon Warriors Women by eight runs for their first crown, and in 2024 they defended it against the Trinbago Knight Riders Women. The Royals had lost to the same Trinbago side by ten runs in the tournament's first-ever decider in 2022.

Before that first WCPL final, the Royals had already won a trophy that season: the inaugural SKYEX 6IXTY Women's Competition, beating the same Trinbago opponents by fifteen runs. The 6IXTY event was never repeated, which leaves it as a one-off line in the club's record rather than a fixture on the calendar.

The side plays out of the Kensington Oval in Bridgetown, a ground that holds around 28,000 people. Navy, pink and yellow make up the Royals' colours, with Chamari Athapaththu, Marizanne Kapp and Amanda-Jade Wellington all turning out for Barbados over the years.

Hayley Matthews is a key figure in the club's three trophies. As captain, she has led the Royals to every title they hold since the franchise was formed in 2022.
