Hindukush Strikers

Hindukush Strikers share Kunduz with Mah-e-Par Stars, and when the two meet the fixture runs under its own name, the Kunduz Derby, fought as sharply as anything on the Afghan domestic calendar.

The Strikers were there at the start of the Green Afghanistan One Day Cup in 2022, one of three founding sides along with Pamir Legends and Maiwand Defenders, and they won the inaugural edition outright. That opening title set a pattern rather than a peak: the Ghazi Amanullah Khan Regional One Day Tournament followed in 2024, then the Wakhan National T20 Cup in 2025, giving the club a trophy in three different formats inside four years.

Home matches are played at the Kunduz Cricket Ground, opened in 2016 and still young enough that its first List A match came only in July 2024. The Afghanistan Cricket Board puts capacity at 7,000.

The 2024/25 Ahmad Shah Abdali 4-day Tournament produced the club's defining scoreline: a first-class total of 811, the record for the competition, built around a double century from Hashmatullah Shahidi. Afghanistan's national captain remains the name Kunduz reaches for first when the Strikers are mentioned — a double hundred that turned into a team record, and a team record that turned into the reason opposing bowlers still talk about that innings.
