Mah-e-Par Stars

Nangarhar's place in Afghanistan's first-class structure belonged to Speen Ghar Region until 2023, when the Afghanistan Cricket Board rebuilt the domestic system and handed the province's four-day cricket to a new club built around Jalalabad: Mah-e-Par Stars. Speen Ghar carried on in List A cricket into that same year, so for a while the province fielded two sides before MPS, as it is known locally, took over on its own, opening in the 2023–24 Ahmad Shah Abdali 4-day Tournament.

The club plays out of the Ghazi Amanullah International Cricket Stadium, a 14,000-seat ground in Ghazi Amanullah Town on the eastern edge of the city.

Darwish Rasooli captains the side and produced its most talked-about performance, scoring two centuries in a single match against Pamir Legends in 2025.

Mah-e-Par Stars have reached a final in every domestic format Afghanistan runs and lost each one. Maiwand Champions, the province's other side and its closest rival, beat them by nine wickets in the 2024–25 Abdali final; Hindukush Strikers took the Ghazi Amanullah Khan Regional One Day Tournament off them by five wickets the year before. The tightest of the three came in the 2025 Wakhan National T20 Cup final, where Hindukush Strikers won it again, by one wicket.
