Koge

The club carries the town's name into the 1. Division, the second tier of Danish handball, playing out of Køge Idrætshal.

The founding traces back to 1947. Neither the men's side nor the women's team added a Danish Championship or Cup to the club's record.

Where Køge has made its mark is in developing players rather than collecting silverware. Laura Borg came through the club's academy before her career took her on to Skanderborg and into the Danish national team — the kind of pathway a club leans on when it cannot point to a cabinet.

Local rivalry runs closest to home, against Køge Rishøj Håndbold, with Næstved Håndbold providing the wider regional edge. The club's own identity work centres on what it calls its "4 bolde" values, a framework built around the badge rather than around any single season.

The home kit runs blue and black, the away kit white and black — colours that have carried the club through 79 years since 1947.
